The Suddenly Sleepy 5K Sleepwalk was founded in 2018 by “Chef Andre Royal” to raise funds to help those affected by Narcolepsy and various sleep disorders. In 2019 “Suddenly Sleepy” became an Oregon Nonprofit 501 (c)(3) that now provides fun and engaging ways to support educational opportunities and continues to raise awareness of the importance of quality sleep. Lack of quality sleep is becoming much more recognized as it affects not just those who’ve been diagnosed with sleep disorders such as Narcolepsy- but is important to the overall health and wellness of the community as a whole.
Hello, My name Jude Foster and I work for AmeriCorps NCCC. I was just wondering if you’re event was nonprofit so me and a few others could help out at your event on the 8th of March.
Absolutely, please email us at suddenlysleepy247@gmail.com & we’ll take it from there.
The Suddenly Sleepy Sleepwalk 5k is the highlight of the dawning Spring in Eugene! A dynamic group of runners and walkers, humans and animals, adults and kids gather to have fun and to say that this cause matters! Narcolepcy resources, awareness, and education is needed in every community. I am thankful that we have representation and participation in our city. It is a privilege to volunteer and give to this organization!
